Route Delivery Driver - Class A CDL

UP TO A $10,000 SIGN ON BONUS BASED ON ELIGIBILITY

MINIMUM BASE PAY AND STARTING PAY ARE $52,000/YEAR

Job Summary / General Description:

As a Route Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely distribution of grocery/food items, specialty products, and supplies to various customer locations. Based in Corbin, KY, you will be a vital part of our team serving customers and delivering fine foods since 1942.

Sign-On Bonus Availability:

• $10,000 subject to eligibility, including but not limited to:
• Three or more years of Class A CDL driving experience
• No major reportable accidents or traffic offenses

• $5,000 for drivers with less than three years of Class A CDL experience

Essential Job Functions:

• Drive tractor-trailer and deliver products along assigned routes, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Comply with Federal and State Laws related to DOT and traffic regulations.
• Maintain accuracy and prevent damage during delivery.
• Communicate issues immediately to the Transportation Supervisor.
• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects before and after trips.
• Operate vehicle safely, adhering to commercial driving regulations.
• Keep electronic driver logs per DOT regulations.
• Maintain communication with the supervisor for instructions.
• Follow safety, food, and company policies.
• Present a professional appearance and conduct.
• Complete administrative and paperwork duties efficiently.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

• Knowledge of DOT and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Minimum age of 21 years.
• Valid CDL Class A License.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, reach, bend, squat, and stoop.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to learn and use new software applications.
• Basic math skills.
• Self-motivated and customer-focused.
• Active listening and decision-making skills.
• Punctuality and good attendance.

Working Conditions:

• Ability to drive safely in adverse weather conditions.
• Use of equipment like dollies or hand trucks for heavy loads.
• Loading and unloading at multiple customer sites daily.
