Job summary

Air Methods is seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic to maintain rotor-wing aircraft at the Nashville base. The role requires rotor experience and adherence to FARs, company policies, and maintenance manuals to ensure aircraft readiness.

Responsibilities include inspections, repairs, documentation, on-call rotations, and collaboration with flight crews to address maintenance issues while maintaining a clean, safe work environment and compliance with SMS requirements.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2–5 years of related aircraft maintenance experience required.
  • Factory airframe/power plant schools preferred.
  • FAR 135 operations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs inspections and repairs of aircraft per procedures, ADs, and FARs.
  • Verify part numbers and serials match documentation during installation/removal.
  • Ensure maintenance docs comply with FARs and manuals.
  • Participates in the SMS safety program and follows policies.
  • Keeps work area clean and professional.
  • Corrects safety or compliance issues as directed by leadership.
  • Advises PIC of maintenance issues affecting availability.
  • Manages status report data for assigned aircraft.
  • Requests parts to maintain inventory for prompt repairs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
