Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Air Ambulance Pilot to deliver rapid, life-saving patient transport with a focus on safety and mission success. You will operate rotor-wing aircraft under FAA rules, plan flights considering weather, weight, and fuel, and work closely with medical staff and dispatch to ensure seamless missions.

The role requires significant helicopter flight experience, a current instrument rating, and the ability to meet FAA medical standards.

Qualifications

• FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating or ATP; appropriate category and class ratings.
• Current FAA Second-Class Medical Certificate (or higher).
• 2,500 hours total flight time in a helicopter; 100 hours cross-country (25 at night); 75 instrument hours; 100 hours unaided night flight.
• Pass a 135.293 check ride within the first 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operates aircraft in compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and mission protocols.
• Plans and executes flights, accounting for weather conditions, weight and balance, and fuel requirements.
• Collaborates with medical staff, ground crew, and dispatch for seamless mission execution.
• Responds promptly to emergency callouts, maintaining readiness at all times.
• Maintains accurate flight and maintenance logs as required by the company and FAA.
• Represents the company professionally when interacting with patients, families, and the public.
