Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks an Air Ambulance Pilot to serve as rotor wing PIC, delivering rapid, life-saving transport and ensuring safety for medical teams and patients on every flight. Role blends advanced aviation skills with a commitment to community EMS excellence.

The position requires FAA certifications, ATPL/Instrument rating, and helicopter flight hours, with a strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and emergency response readiness. Base location specified in posting.

Qualifications

• FAA Certifications: Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating or ATP; appropriate category and class ratings.
• Current FAA Second-Class Medical Certificate (or higher).
• Flight Experience: 2,500 hours total helicopter time; 100 hours cross-country (25 at night); 75 actual/simulated instrument hours; 100 unaided night hours.
• Pass a 135.293 check ride within first 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operates aircraft in compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and mission protocols.
• Plans and executes flights, accounting for weather, weight and balance, and fuel.
• Collaborates with medical staff, ground crew, and dispatch for mission execution.
• Responds promptly to emergency callouts, maintaining readiness at all times.
• Maintains flight and maintenance logs as required by company and FAA.
• Represents the company professionally with patients, families, and the public.
