Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Air Ambulance Pilot to deliver rapid, life-saving transport for patients. You will blend advanced aviation skills with rigorous safety and mission protocols to support emergency medical services.

The role requires 2,500 hours helicopter time, instrument rating or ATP, and current FAA medical clearance. Base at Wadesboro, NC with a 42-hour week and competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• FAA certifications required: commercial/instrument rating or ATP; appropriate category and class ratings for helicopter operations.
• Current FAA Second-Class Medical Certificate (or higher) is required.
• Flight experience: helicopter, total time 2,500 hours with cross-country and instrument hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate helicopter in compliance with FAA regs, company policies, and mission protocols.
• Plan and execute flights considering weather, weight, balance, and fuel.
• Coordinate with medical staff, ground crew, and dispatch for mission success.
• Respond to emergency callouts and maintain readiness at all times.
• Maintain accurate flight and maintenance logs per FAA and company requirements.
• Represent the company professionally with patients, families, and the public.
