Job summary

Acuity Inc. BUILD program offers a two-year rotational path in Atlanta for early-career professionals, rotating every six months to build business acumen and functional expertise. Participants develop professional skills to contribute across Acuity’s operations.

The program targets curious, adaptable individuals with strong communication, ownership, and problem-solving abilities, eager to grow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
• Interest in an operations career path and willingness to work on site in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Demonstrated operational problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and time-management skills.
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, inventory management, or production scheduling through coursework, internships, or project experience is preferred.
• Ability to use data to monitor operational performance and balance service, cost, inventory, and quality objectives.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required; exposure to ERP or digital manufacturing systems, such as Oracle is preferred.
• Leadership experience demonstrating initiative, sound decision-making, teamwork, and the ability to influence people, processes, or change.
• Availability to travel based on business needs, up to 20%, is required.
• Less than two years of related professional work experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rotate within functional areas, combining interests with company objectives to work on projects with experienced colleagues.
• Explore areas including Production Planning, Manufacturing Engineer, Focused Factory.
• Exposure to areas like Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, Quality, Manufacturing Network Strategy
