Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is offering a twelve-week Summer Internship in Supply Chain & Operations across multiple U.S. plant locations, including Texas.

Interns will gain hands-on experience across production supervision, materials planning, procurement, logistics, quality, and Lean/Continuous Improvement while building business acumen through our learning model. Successful candidates are current college students pursuing Engineering or Supply Chain degrees, ready to relocate to a plant site and

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or similar.
• Access to personal transportation and ability to relocate to a plant location.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Lean manufacturing initiatives and projects.
• Learn the JCI Business System and support plants to meet and exceed KPIs.
• Oversee daily production support, ensuring smooth operations through capacity management, scheduling analysis, and optimizing cycle times.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Maintain and improve reports to ensure manufacturing floor enabling operational efficiency.
• Implement measures to minimize waste.
