Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in technically related field or equivalent experience required.
• Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Must be self-motivated and self-disciplined abiding by all Amcor codes of ethics, safety policies and rules.
• Able to work independently and with others.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems is preferred.
• Basic trouble shooting skills within a production environment is preferred.
• Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of design and visualization software.
• Experience with 2-D and 3-D Modeling is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated interest in developing a broad manufacturing and engineering skill set.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new environments, processes, and project assignments.
• Willingness and ability to rotate through multiple engineering and operational disciplines within the Evansville area.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to manufacturing for capability issues, technical improvements, and processing improvements.
• Develop and implement capital projects to reduce costs and improve operating efficiency; coordinate budgets and schedules.
• Support new equipment upgrades and special projects, review layouts, and provide status updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure projects comply with codes, standards, and safety requirements (ANSI/ISO/OSHA).
• Identify improvement opportunities using data-driven approaches, develop timelines and budgets.
• Prioritize machine and mold issues; research and evaluate new technologies for manufacturing.
• Develop user manuals and training materials to enable successful implementation.
