Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Level II R&D/Engineering professional to support research, applications development, and cost-out initiatives across multiple products and processes. The role emphasizes collaboration with Engineering, Operations and Quality to deliver technically sound solutions aligned with customer and market needs.

You will contribute to the innovation pipeline, execute production trials, and learn risk management while expanding your knowledge of materials and polymer properties.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to apply scientific methods (DoE and statistics) and use PM tools.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Curious learner with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate across Engineering, Operations and Quality.

Responsibilities

• Represent the company’s technical voice to customers with internal stakeholders.
• Understand customer needs and drive design and implementation of products/processes.
• Share technical information to resolve customer/technical needs.
• Support projects within the innovation pipeline.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations and Quality to resolve technical challenges.
• Contribute to critical-to-quality specifications and write technical documentation.
• Support Stage Gate programs and learn risk management processes.
• Plan and analyze production trials using DoE, Lean, and statistics.
• Build foundational understanding of material/polymer properties and equipment capability.
• Apply problem-solving tools to drive innovative ideas.
• Protect Amcor intellectual property and report work accurately.
• Gain familiarity with IP and information management.
