Job summary

Arizona Public Service (APS) invites recent grads to join its Transmission and Distribution Rotational Program as an Engineer I. Through four six-month rotations, you’ll gain hands-on experience across design, planning, operation and protection of the electric grid while contributing to projects that strengthen reliability and safety in Arizona.

Based in the Phoenix area, the program offers exposure to distributed energy resources, smart grid projects and cross-functional teamwork with

Qualifications

Four year ABET-accredited engineering degree (or recognized equivalent)
Ability to apply engineering principles to real-world challenges
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

Assist in data analysis, technical reviews and evaluations to aid decision making
Contribute to engineering plans, designs, cost estimates and scheduling
Interface with customers and departments to align objectives with requirements, budget and schedule
Provide technical and field support, troubleshoot issues and ensure compliance with standards
Participate in business cases and operational plans for proposed projects
Present technical data to management and customers as needed
Stay current with technology advances and engineering developments
