Job summary

Ultipro is seeking an Electrical Power Generation Field Technician (EPG Field Tech II) on a rotational schedule to service equipment at customer sites. The role requires traveling to the assigned work location for 14 days at a time, with lodging provided if needed, and will involve on-site repairs and reporting.

The position emphasizes compliance with CSA and Caterpillar guidelines, safety standards, and timely submission of service documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 3–5 years related experience or training.
• Willingness to work overtime and follow rotating schedules.
• CDL license required within 90 days and clean driving record.
• Certification for forklift and/or man lift prior to operation.
• Arc flash training completed.
• EPG Level II training completed or demonstrated performance.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot equipment; provide repair recommendations.
• Follow CSA processes and Caterpillar guidelines for engine measurements and adjustments.
• Prepare service reports, oil samples, and inspections; leave paperwork with customer.
• Submit service reports to dispatch within 24–48 hours after service.
• Adhere to safety guidelines including MSHA when in mining applications.
