Job summary

FirstEnergy Service Co. is seeking an entry-level Engineer for its 18-month Rotational Engineering Program. The program offers coaching, mentoring, and development across FirstEnergy's Transmission and Distribution engineering teams, with three ~6-month rotations.

Participants may rotate to NJ locations such as Morristown and others across five states; start in 2027. In-person reporting is required. Hiring is based on graduation, availability, and business needs; pay ranges are provided with NJ

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required or PE/license alternatives.
• 0 years of engineering experience minimum; coop/internship preferred.
• Strong safety mindset and NEC/code familiarity.
• Ability to report to assigned work locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Identify risks and implement safety measures for a safe work environment.
• Conduct technical research, interpret results, and propose solutions.
• Prepare engineering change packages and technical reports.
• Support project start-up and timely system operations.
