Job summary

FirstEnergy Corp. invites applicants to join the Rotational Engineering (ROE) Program, an 18-month early-career engineering experience across Transmission and Distribution.

Participants gain hands-on exposure in engineering, analysis, construction, startup, and operation while receiving coaching and mentorship. Rotations last about six months each, and participants must be geographically flexible within five-state locations.

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited engineering degree required or PE license or ABET degree in Engineering Technology with advanced degree.
  • 0 years of engineering experience minimum; internship preferred.
  • Familiarity with NEC and other safety codes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; able to present to management.

Responsibilities

  • Identify risks and implement safety measures on projects.
  • Conduct technical research and analysis; interpret results and recommend solutions.
  • Prepare engineering change packages, specs, and technical reports.
  • Manage project start-up and support timely system operations.
  • Collaborate with teams to meet design codes and standards.
