Job summary

FirstEnergy Service Co. is seeking entry-level engineers for an 18-month Rotational Engineering (ROE) Program across FirstEnergy's Transmission and Distribution engineering services.

You will rotate through three six-month assignments, gaining broad exposure to design, analysis, and startup activities while reporting in-person during rotations. Start dates in 2027; pay ranges from $70,000-$80,000 with a 20% NJ differential pushing some locations to $85,000-$95,000.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering required.
• PE License or equivalent ABET-associated degree options considered.
• Engineering Co-op or Internship experience preferred.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to apply NEC and safety codes.

Responsibilities

• Identify risks and implement safety measures in engineering work.
• Conduct technical analysis and prepare technical reports/presentations.
• Develop engineering change packages and related documents.
• Support system operations and project startup activities.
• Collaborate with teams to meet project milestones and deadlines.
• Provide high-quality customer service and stakeholder communication.
