Job summary

DNV Energy Systems North America seeks a Rotating Machinery Senior Engineer SME to support advisory services across M&A, independent engineering, and owner’s engineering. The role spans wind and thermal assets, with emphasis on diagnosis of equipment behavior, failure mechanisms, and maintenance strategies.

You will perform root cause analysis, lead evaluations, and translate findings into decision-grade insights for developers, owners, lenders, and investors.

Qualifications

• Experience with rotating equipment in wind and thermal assets.
• Strong root-cause analysis and reliability engineering skills.
• Ability to translate technical findings into decision-ready insights for investors and developers.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical evaluations of rotating equipment across wind and thermal portfolios.
• Support due diligence, independent engineering, and owner’s engineering scopes.
• Perform RCA for failures; identify mitigation strategies and renewal/maintenance implications.
• Provide independent technical judgments to align asset behavior with financial models and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to client workshops and reports.
