Job summary

Flowserve in Pasadena, TX is seeking a Rotating Equipment / Repair Mechanic to lead dismantle, clean, and inspect (DCI) of heavy industrial pumps and actuators. You will perform precision measurements and thermal assembly to recondition equipment to OEM tolerances, supporting chemical, LNG, and refining operations along the Houston Ship Channel.

The role requires a high school diploma, 3–5+ years of hands-on experience, and willingness to work overtime and on-call.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–5+ years of hands-on mechanical experience rebuilding/heavy rotating equipment.
• Ability to read mechanical blueprints and repair specifications.
• Own toolbox and basic precision measurement instruments.
• Commitment to shop safety protocols and Stop Work Authority.
• Physically able to stand, lift up to 50 lbs, and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Overhaul, teardown, cleaning, and inspection (DCI) of pumps and actuators.
• Use micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, and calipers to measure fits and clearances.
• Perform thermal assembly with induction heaters, torches, and liquid nitrogen for shrink fits.
• Balance rotating assemblies and test seals and casings.
• Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and coordinators to define repair scopes.
• Operate cranes, rigging, and forklifts to move equipment.
• Apply coatings and tag services; prepare equipment for shipment.
