Job summary

Flowserve Corporation in Pasadena, TX is seeking a Rotating Equipment / Repair Mechanic to join our Quick Response Center. You will own the DCI lifecycle for heavy pumps and actuators, performing precision workmanship to recondition critical equipment for chemical, LNG, and refining sectors along the Houston Ship Channel.

You’ll collaborate with engineers and machinists, operate balancing and testing equipment, and contribute to a safe, efficient maintenance workflow in a fast-paced shop

Qualifications

• 3 to 5+ years of hands-on mechanical experience rebuilding and overhauling heavy industrial rotating equipment.
• Reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints and repair specs.
• Ownership of a complete personal roll-around toolbox and basic precision measurement tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work overtime/overtime calls.

Responsibilities

• Execute full mechanical overhauls, teardown, cleaning, and inspection on pumps and actuators.
• Perform precision metrology to measure fits, clearances, and run-outs; document findings.
• Use induction heaters, torches, and LN2 for shrink/interference fits on bearings and impellers.
• Balance rotating assemblies and conduct hydrostatic/testing to verify integrity.
• Collaborate with engineers and service coordinators to define repair scopes and reduce downtime.
• Operate cranes and forklifts to position heavy pump casings and assemblies.
• Apply protective coatings and tag finished equipment for shipment.
