Job summary

Quest Global in Erie, PA is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer for rotating equipment to lead multiple projects and ensure milestones are met with stakeholders. You will drive validation, PPAP coordination, and root-cause investigations in a hands-on shop-floor environment.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or an Associate’s with 5+ years). Strong GD&T, FEA/CFD skills, and proficient MS Office are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology, OR an Associate’s degree with a minimum of 5 years engineering experience.
• Hands-on validation and product troubleshooting experience.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and mechanical component design analysis techniques (FEA, CFD).
• Experience with drawing, documentation and procedure development.
• Root Cause Analysis techniques and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable in a shop-floor environment and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple projects in parallel with updates to stakeholders.
• Manage requirement traceability from concept through production launch.
• Coordinate PPAP with internal teams and external vendors.
• Review deviations and disposition non-conforming parts.
• Present engineering solutions to leadership and cross-functional peers.
• Perform fatigue evaluation and life predictions (SN curves, weld evaluation).
• Communicate significant issues/risks promptly to leadership and teams.
• Prepare invention disclosures to protect competitive technology.
