Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer in Phoenix to deliver complete service solutions for rotating machinery health, protection and monitoring. You will evaluate rotor dynamics and machinery condition, traveling to customer sites to support commissioning and maintenance activities.

The role requires a mechanical engineering background, 2+ years in rotating equipment, 70% travel, and eligibility for TWIC; passport may be needed for overseas assignments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering; Mechanical Engineering a plus.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience with large rotating equipment such as turbines, compressors, or fans.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% and work overtime as needed.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and passport (or ability to obtain).
  • TWIC eligibility and overseas travel ability.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose machinery problems using vibration and operational data.
  • Travel to customer sites to provide on-site support.
  • Prepare reports with findings and recommendations for customers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers for high-quality service.
  • Oversee balance weight placement and ensure safety standards.
  • Adhere to Health, Safety & Environment procedures.
