Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer to support customers with rotating machinery diagnostics, vibration data interpretation, and onsite technical service. The role involves field service at customer sites across oil & gas, chemicals, and power sectors, with extensive travel and significant overtime.

You will evaluate equipment health using rotordynamic analysis and provide expert vibration analysis, condition monitoring, and reliability solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • At least two years of industry experience.
  • Availability for extensive travel up to 70% and significantly paid overtime.
  • Valid driver's license and passport or ability to obtain passport.
  • Eligibility to obtain TWIC.
  • Eligibility to travel overseas and occasionally work on offshore platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer sites to conduct field service activities for machinery diagnostics and rotating equipment
  • Provide advanced technical support and root cause analysis for turbines, compressors, generators, pumps, and other rotating equipment
  • Provide technical expertise in vibration analysis, condition monitoring, and reliability solutions
  • Mentor and support the development of field service engineers
  • Support outages, turnarounds, startups, and maintenance events
  • Collaborate with commercial and engineering teams to identify business opportunities
  • Promote and ensure compliance with HSE standards and safe work practices
  • Prepare timely reports documenting findings and recommendations
  • Build trusted customer relationships with high-level service and guidance on rotating equipment health
