Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic I (Sheetmetal/Structures UH-60, AH-64, CH-47) to repair and replace aircraft structural components according to drawings and manuals. You will fabricate and install parts, balance blades, perform inspections, and apply primers and coatings.

Minimum requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, military technical training preferred, and the ability to obtain a passport and travel for OCONUS work as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Military technical school or specialized training desired; education certification required.
• Valid up-to-date A&P license optional.
• MWO travel as needed; three years aviation maintenance experience, two years rotary wing aircraft experience, and two years on the assigned MDS; experience within last six years.

Responsibilities

• Repair and replace aircraft structural components (stingers, longerons, bulkheads, beams, skin) per manuals.
• Fabricate, modify, install structural parts and forms using metal shaping techniques.
• Balance rotary-wing aircraft blades and perform inspections/ checks.
• Prepare and file maintenance records; assist technicians as needed.
• Apply primers/paints and corrosion control treatments to surfaces.
