Job summary
Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic I (Sheetmetal/Structures) in Washington to repair and replace aircraft structural components per manuals and blueprints. You will fabricate, install, and inspect structural parts and balance blades on rotary-wing aircraft while maintaining thorough records.
Applicants should have a high school diploma, three years aviation maintenance with two years rotary wing experience, and a valid driver’s license.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Three years aviation maintenance experience; two years rotary wing; experience within six most recent years.
- Must have valid driver’s license and own tools (toolbox provided materials by selection).
- U.S. military technical school or specialized training desired; education level certification required.
Responsibilities
- Repair and replace structural components per drawings and manuals.
- Fabricate and install structural parts and form metal.
- Balance rotary-wing aircraft blades.
- Perform inspections and final checks after maintenance.
- Maintain records and requisition parts.
