Job summary

Amentum is seeking a rotary-wing aircraft mechanic to support high-profile air transport operations. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on helicopters, repair structural components, and assist aircrew in flight preparation at Andrews location.

The role requires FAA-certified or military training, 1 year of recent helicopter maintenance on H-60/S-70 or equivalent, and the ability to read technical schematics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Rotary-wing mechanics require FAA-certified institute or military training.
• One year of recent aircraft maintenance experience on H-60 or S-70, or FAA A&P/FCC, or military aviation training with one year experience.
• Ability to read schematics, drawings, and technical docs.
• Must obtain/maintain a secret security clearance (US Citizenship required).
• Valid State Driver’s License (Real ID) and flightline license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled/unscheduled aircraft maintenance and repairs on helicopters.
• Inspect aircraft systems, prep for flight, and assist aircrew for departure.
• Operate ground support equipment and document maintenance actions in MIS.
• Read and interpret technical publications, blueprints, and manuals.
• Maintain aircraft appearance, safety, and housekeeping; travel as needed.
