Job summary

Boart Longyear is seeking a dedicated Large Rotary Driller Assistant to support drilling crews across multiple sites in Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Colorado and beyond. Expect long shifts (14–20 days on, 7–10 days off) with paid training and certifications from MSHA to First Aid, plus a clear path for progression.

You will handle hauling, material handling, fluid mixing, and assist in rigging, with PPE provided and strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Willing to travel to worksites across states.
• Requires a valid U.S. driver's license and work authorization.
• Comfort with long shifts and extended periods on site.
• Background, drug screening and fitness evaluations required.
• High school diploma or GED required; related experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Assist drilling crews with semi-skilled tasks at the site.
• Haul supplies, handle materials, and mix drilling fluids.
• Connect/remove rods to/from drill string and collect samples.
• Maintain inventory and assist in rigging and relocation of equipment.
• Perform site inspections and support safety inductions.
