Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a skilled Level I Rope Technician 3 to join our team in Texas. This hourly role involves performing maintenance, inspections, and repairs in hard-to-reach areas using rope access techniques, often at height, in industrial settings.

The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical background, IRATA or SPRAT Level II certification, a valid driver’s license, and a TWIC card. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• 4+ years journeyman level experience.
• IRATA or SPRAT Level II certification.
• Valid Driver's License and TWIC Card.

Responsibilities

• Perform rope access work in inspection, maintenance, repair and other tasks in difficult-to-reach areas.
• Rig and set up rope access systems and verify systems before use.
• Conduct advanced rigging and perform complex rescue procedures following rope access program and standards.
• Inspect, maintain, and store rope access equipment; ensure proper PPE use.
• Identify and control hazards at the worksite; notify Rope Access Supervisor and take corrective action.
• Follow work permits, job hazard analyses, and site-specific safety procedures.
