Job summary

Acuren is seeking an entry-level Rope Access Technician I in Beaumont, TX, to perform rope access tasks under supervision while maintaining safety and efficiency. The role requires a strong willingness to learn, adherence to IRATA or SPRAT standards, and the ability to work at heights.

Responsibilities include equipment inspection, setup, hazard reporting, and assisting in rescue operations as needed. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and be 18+ with STS/physical endurance.

Qualifications

• IRATA/SPRAT Level 1 Certification required including proficiency in theoretical knowledge, equipment and rigging, maneuvers, climbing and rescue/hauling.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required; some college preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform specific job functions under the direction of Rope Access Supervisor or Level II/III Rope Access Technician.
• Inspect and validate rope access equipment and systems for safety and compliance prior to use.
• Assist in preparing and setting up rope access equipment as directed by Lead RAT.
• Identify hazards and report unsafe conditions to Rope Access Supervisor.
• Record inspection results as directed by Lead RAT.
• Safely ascend, descend, and maneuver on ropes using standard techniques.
• Assist in basic rescue operations under supervision of higher-level rope access technicians.
• Maintain IRATA or SPRAT certifications and training records.
• Assist other technicians as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
