Job summary

Turner Industries seeks NCCER-credentialed Boilermakers with Rope Access in the Baton Rouge, LA area. The role involves assembling, erecting, and repairing boilers, tanks, and related equipment per blueprint specifications.

Non-exempt role; reports to Foreman; duties follow specific procedures with frequent checks. Essential qualifications include a high school diploma, IRATA/SPRAT Level 1–3, TWIC, NCCER cert, rigging skills, and safety/compliance requirements; CPR and post-offer drug tests are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• IRATA / SPRAT Level 1–3 certification
• TWIC Card
• NCCER certification
• Demonstrated proficiency in construction tool use (grinders, oxy/acetylene torch)
• Rigging
• Must have capacity for work at height
• CPR certification
• Post offer drug/alcohol screen and safety compliance
• Comply with company and client job site safety requirements

Responsibilities

• Uses rope-access methods to access and complete maintenance, repairs and other tasks.
• Assist in testing assembled vessels and completing administrative tasks.
• Align structures and components, bolt frames and vessels as required.
• Install and signals crane operator to lift parts to position.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures and PPE requirements.
