Job summary

Turner Industries, a leading industrial contractor headquartered in Baton Rouge, seeks skilled rope access technicians. You will perform maintenance and repairs in challenging access areas using SMAW and GTAW welding, while adhering to IRATA/SPRAT standards and OSHA safety rules.

A strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and problem solving is required. Qualifications include high school diploma, IRATA/SPRAT certs, TWIC, ASME/welder certs, ability to lift 75 lbs, and valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• IRATA / SPRAT certs required.
• Current TWIC Card required.
• ASME welding certification required.
• Welder certifications required.
• Proficient in SMAW and GTAW welding.
• Must be able to work at heights and lift 75 lbs.
• Valid Driver's License and background check/drug test.

Responsibilities

• Perform rope access maintenance and repairs in difficult access areas.
• Adhere to IRATA/SPRAT standards and OSHA safety procedures.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices.
• Inspect rope access systems before use and report hazards.
• Assist in rescue operations and handle physical tasks as needed.
