Job summary

The Post Oak in Galveston, TX seeks a Director of Rooms to lead Front Office, Reservations, Guest Services, Concierge, Activities, Villas, Housekeeping, and Laundry. You will drive room revenue, supervise managers, and develop staff in a high-standard hotel environment.

Responsibilities include staffing, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring top-tier guest service, while maintaining compliance with SOPs and delivering Four Diamond standards.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive hotel experience; or a 4-year degree with 2+ years of related experience; or a 2-year degree with 4+ years of experience.
• Previous management experience required.
• Must be proficient with computers, to include spreadsheets and word processing.

Responsibilities

• Approach all encounters with employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with standards and scheduling.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and name tag.
• Comply with standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
• Respond to guests’ requests, problems and complaints in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner with follow-up for satisfaction.
• Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline all associates.
• Develop employee morale and ensure training of Rooms Division personnel.
• Maximize room revenue and occupancy by reviewing status daily and analyzing variances.
