Job summary

Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club in Surfside, FL seeks a Rooms Control Coordinator to partner with Front Desk, Revenue, and Housekeeping to optimize inventory and maximize revenue for guestrooms and suites.

You will block rooms, manage queue rooms, coordinate pricing strategies with Revenue, and ensure upgraded inventory is prepared for arrivals, with Opera PMS proficiency and 5 years of Front Desk/Reservations experience.

Qualifications

• 5 years of Front Desk and/or Reservations experience.
• Experience in luxury hotel environment preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Attention to detail with room inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Block the house and manage queue rooms and related requests.
• Balance room types to optimize revenue opportunities.
• Identify upsell opportunities and coordinate pricing strategies with Revenue.
• Ensure upgraded inventory is cleaned, inspected and ready for arrivals.

About the role :

The Rooms Control Coordinator will work in partnership with Front Des k, Revenue, Housekeeping, and other operational departments with a focus on managing the hotel's room inventory to maximize revenue pertaining to guestrooms & suites .

What you will do :

• B lock the house, managing queue rooms and communication related to queue rooms, managing traces, as well as late check-out and early check-in requests
• E nsure the hotel is set up for success by appropriately blocking guestrooms & suites by balancing room types to enhance revenue opportunities .
• Partner with the Revenue Team to identify potential upsell opportunities , determine appropriate pricing strategie s, and prepare daily upsell target list . Communicate effectively with the Front Desk Team and coordinate with Housekeeping to ensure upgraded inventory is cleaned, inspected, and available for arriving guests in a timely manner .
• Ensure inventory across the Property Management System (Opera) is in balance and take corrective action in the event of variances
• Block VIPs into upgraded room types while allocating the proper number of rooms to be reserved for upgrades performed by the front desk that generate revenue
• Manage Out of Order and Out of Service rooms' inventory, following up with departments such as Housekeeping, Engineering, and Front Desk, and updating the Revenue Management team

What you bring :

• Experience working within a luxury hotel or similar environment
• 5 years of Front Desk and/or Reservations experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and technical proficiency
• Strong knowledge of room inventory management and room assignment strategies
• Experience working with Opera or a similar Property Management System
