Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts in downtown San Antonio seeks a knowledgeable Rooms Controller to optimize hotel room inventory, maximize occupancy, and guest satisfaction. You will coordinate between Front Office, Housekeeping, Reservations, and Revenue Management to ensure accurate room status and smooth arrivals.

This role requires 1–2 years in Front Office or Rooms Division, Opera PMS experience, and strong analytical, organizational, and cross‑departmental communication skills.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years Front Office or Rooms Division experience in a hotel.
• PMS experience required (Opera preferred).
• Understanding of room categories, inventory management, and operational flow.
• Luxury or full‑service hotel experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and cross‑departmental collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily room inventory, including arrivals, departures, and stayovers.
• Assign rooms strategically based on guest preferences and priorities.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping for accurate room status and readiness.
• Manage room blocks, groups, and special requests with Sales/Reservations.
• Ensure inventory accuracy across PMS, CRS, and channel partners.
• Support Front Desk during peak periods to maintain service standards.
• Review daily occupancy reports and room status discrepancies.
• Communicate overbooking risks and sell‑out strategies to leadership.
• Assist with relocations and guest issue resolution as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of guest information and data.
