Job summary

The Osthoff Resort & Spa in Elkhart Lake, WI is seeking Room Service Servers to take calls and deliver meals to guest rooms, maintaining AAA 4 Diamond standards. Part-time shifts are available: weekday 3 pm–9 pm and some weekend hours (7 am–3 pm or 3 pm–9 pm).

Ideal candidates have strong customer service, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and bring a positive attitude, self-motivation, and good time management to a collaborative kitchen and restaurant team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Strong customer/ guest service skills.
• Ability to take care of the customers’ needs while following company procedures.
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with self-motivation.
• Must be able to have a positive attitude with the willingness to go above and beyond what is expected.
• Possess great time management skills, with the ability to think on the spot.
• Must possess a positive attitude as a contributor to a diverse work environment.
• Ability to learn quickly and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Take room service orders over the phone and repeat orders back to guests to ensure accuracy.
• Enter orders into POS system accurately and efficiently.
• Deliver food and beverages to guest rooms in a courteous and professional manner.
• Ensure all orders are presented to resort standards.
• Collaborate with kitchen and restaurant team members to ensure seamless service.
• Assist in the checklists at the beginning/end of each shift with the team, including polishing, cleaning, prepping.
• Be willing to help fill in as needed to ensure guests’ needs are being met.
• All other duties as assigned.

Room Service Servers are responsible for taking orders over the phone and delivering food and beverages to guest rooms promptly and professionally while maintaining the AAA 4 Diamond brand expectation. Part-time hours available: weekday afternoon/evenings from 3 pm - 9 pm, some weekend shifts available as well (7 am - 3 pm or 3 pm - 9pm)

Duties And Responsibilities

• Take room service orders over the phone and repeat orders back to guests to ensure accuracy
• Enter orders into POS system accurately and efficiently
• Deliver food and beverages to guest rooms in a courteous and professional manner
• Ensure all orders are presented to resort standards
• Anticipate guest needs before they ask
• Set up and remove trays, carts, and service items from guest rooms and hallways
• Perform hall sweeps throughout and at the end of each shift
• Promote The Osthoff Resort’s service principle by example—respond to/resolve guest inquiries, complaints or concerns in a courteous, timely and efficient manner. Make sure to inform a team leader of any problems.
• Collaborate with kitchen and restaurant team members to ensure seamless service
