• Respond to tray removal requests within established time standards.
• Break down, clean, and set up room-service tables, condiment setups, flatware, dishware, and side stations.
• Close guest checks by securing room number and signature and settle any voided or complimentary meals.

Job description

Room Service Server Responsibilities

Deliver food orders, including any special needs or requests, to guests in-room. Verify completed kitchen orders against the original order or the order taker’s notes. Transport items to the guest room in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality. Greet guests, describe selected items using vivid descriptions of each item’s origin, taste, and preparation methods, and communicate options for removal of trays and dishware.

Respond to requests for tray removal according to established time standards. Break down, clean, and set up room‑service tables, condiment setups, flatware, dishware, and side stations. Anticipate guest needs, assess satisfaction, and offer suggestions, responding urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests. Properly and accurately close guest checks by securing the room number and signature, and settle voided checks or complimentary meals.
