Job summary

Inspira Health seeks a kitchen associate to perform food preparation and cooking tasks for Room Service delivery and retail. The role follows HACCP guidelines, uses recipes, and assists with menu planning.

You will help on patient tray lines or in the cafeteria as needed, while maintaining records and adhering to safety standards. The position requires a High School diploma and up to 25 lb lifting, with institutional cooking experience preferred and Serve Safe Food Handler certification

Qualifications

• High School graduation or equivalent.
• 6 months of institutional cooking preferred.
• Certified Serve Safe Food Handler preferred.
• Physical ability to lift/carry up to 25 lbs, frequent standing/walking, and exposure to kitchen hazards.

Responsibilities

• Follows Production Protocols: HACCP guidelines, pulls recipes, gathers work supplies, prepares, seasons, and cooks food with recipe adherence, assists with menu planning, and works on patient tray line or in the cafeteria as assigned.
• Supports all Room Service functions as necessary for patient care.
• Maintains department records: production sheets, cooling logs, waste logs, daily production meetings, recipe files, and receiving food products as appropriate.
• Maintains strict adherence to safety protocols: attends safety meetings, self-assessment, follows policies, and reports unsafe conditions immediately.
• Alerts Chef/Manager or Supervisor to problems involving equipment or supplies and ensures Dietary Department sanitation standards are met: daily cleaning and regulatory compliance.
