Baptist Health in Lexington, KY is seeking a Room Service Ambassador to provide exceptional patient dining service and assist with meal ordering and delivery on a full-time, first-shift basis.

The role emphasizes accurate diet-compliant meal delivery, patient education on the ordering system, and coordination with clinical teams, with training provided. It represents a key front-line role in Food and Nutrition Services.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Training will be provided.
• HIPAA compliance and food safety standards knowledge is expected.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate, diet-compliant meals and provide friendly, professional service to patients.
• Assist patients and families with meal ordering and use of the meal ordering system.
• Enter meal orders accurately using department technology and ensure timely meal delivery and retrieval.
• Serve as a liaison between patients, nursing units, and Food and Nutrition Services to address concerns and requests.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA, food safety, sanitation, HACCP, and department standards.

Room Service Ambassador

Full Time First Shift

The Room Service Ambassador provides exceptional patient dining service by assisting patients with meal selections, accurately processing orders, and coordinating timely meal delivery. Ensures patient dietary needs and preferences are communicated appropriately while maintaining food safety, service quality, and Baptist Health standards. Provides friendly, compassionate service that supports a positive patient experience.

The Room Service Ambassador provides professional, efficient meal service to patients and assists with meal ordering based on physician-prescribed diets. Educates patients on the meal ordering system, assesses their ability to use the system, and communicates dietary concerns to the appropriate clinical team. Serves as a key representative of Food and Nutrition Services while delivering excellent patient service with minimal direct supervision.
