Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Room Attendant who will work with the Housekeeping Management Team to clean guest rooms and public areas, or work in the commercial laundry facility, following brand standards to ensure guest satisfaction.

The role involves cleaning rooms, making beds, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, and assisting with laundry as needed. Availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Some previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English is preferred; other languages beneficial.
• Basic reading, writing and mathematical abilities are preferred.
• Frequently standing up, bending, climbing, kneeling, and moving about the facility.
• Carrying, lifting or pulling items weighing up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Sonesta Service in all guest interactions per G.U.E.S.T. standards.
• Respond to guest complaints and special requests to ensure satisfaction.
• Clean and service rooms per standards; make beds, dust, vacuum, and sanitize bathrooms.
• Notify supervisor when service is complete so rooms may be sold or occupied.
• Operate laundry equipment and manage linens when assigned to laundry.
• Minimize waste of supplies; assist with deep cleaning projects.
• Report repairs or unsafe conditions to supervisor; handle lost and found items.
• Support teamwork across shifts and departments to ensure quality service.
• Comply with health and safety laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
