Job summary

SRS Distribution is seeking a physically capable Material Handler to load, unload, and transport roofing materials at the Vancouver location. You will operate manual/mechanical handling methods and, where trained, conveyor systems to move goods from trucks to rooftops.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and customer service within fast-paced residential and commercial environments. The job requires lifting up to 100 lbs, outdoor work on rooftops, and adherence to OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work at heights.
• Proficiency in English; Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload roofing materials from delivery trucks using manual and mechanical methods.
• Ensure safety guidelines and procedures are followed.
• Facilitate safe distribution of materials onto flat and sloped roofs per safety guidelines.
• Operate conveyor belt systems (where trained and certified) to transport materials from trucks to rooftops.
• Accurately verify and reconcile material orders.
• Provide exceptional service to roofing contractors.
• Adhere to OSHA safety regulations and company protocols.
• Coordinate loading/unloading with drivers and team members.
