Job summary

QXO in Ormond Beach, FL is seeking a dependable delivery loader to unload building products and shingles from conveyors and assist with delivery operations. You will verify orders before loading and help maintain a safe, efficient job site, using provided PPE and fall protection while working at heights.

This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, starting at 7am and continuing until work is done, with overtime and weekend shifts possible.

Qualifications

• Must be comfortable working at heights with safety equipment provided.
• Outdoor, physically demanding work and adherence to safety procedures.
• Reliable transportation to commute to the branch location.
• Spanish bilingual proficiency a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely unload building products and shingles from conveyor boom on roofs or ground.
• Verify order contents prior to loading onto the delivery truck.
• Assist with delivery operations as needed.
• Demonstrate a daily commitment to safety and wear PPE.
• Support warehouse operations during slow periods.

What you'll do:

• Safely unload building products and multiple bundles of shingles from conveyor boom from first or second story rooftop
• In certain instances where rooftop delivery is not feasible, the roof loader will provide support to the driver by assisting with ground drop operations at the designated job site
• Verify order contents prior to loading them onto the delivery truck
• Assist with delivery operations
• Demonstrate a daily commitment to safety and adhere diligently to all safety protocols, while always wearing appropriate PPE

Shift and Schedule

• Full-Time Position
• Monday–Friday.
• Start time 7am until work is done, around 3pm
• Flexibility in schedule to accommodate OT and/or weekends based on business needs.

What you'll bring:

• Access 1- and 2-story rooftops to stage materials at delivery locations. Occasionally 3 story buildings
• Must be comfortable working at heights; required safety equipment and fall protection are provided.
• Support warehouse operations during slow periods as needed.
• Access to a reliable mode of transportation to commute to branch location
• Spanish bilingual proficiency a plus
