Job summary

QXO is seeking a dependable Loader to work full-time at our Florida branch. You will safely unload building products, including shingles, from rooftops or ground locations, and support delivery operations as needed.

Strong safety adherence and ability to work at heights are required; Spanish is a plus. Wages include a 401(k) match and comprehensive benefits. OT and weekend shifts may be needed based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated physical fitness to lift and move heavy materials.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and wear PPE at all times.
• Attention to detail in verifying loads and order contents.
• Spanish bilingual proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely unload building products and bundles of shingles from conveyors and rooftops.
• Assist with delivery operations and ground drop support when rooftop delivery isn’t feasible.
• Verify order contents prior to loading onto delivery trucks.
• Demonstrate a daily commitment to safety and correspond with safety procedures.

What you'll do:

• Safely unload building products and multiple bundles of shingles from conveyor boom from first or second story rooftop
• In certain instances where rooftop delivery is not feasible, the roof loader will provide support to the driver by assisting with ground drop operations at the designated job site
• Verify order contents prior to loading them onto the delivery truck
• Assist with delivery operations
• Demonstrate a daily commitment to safety and adhere diligently to all safety protocols, while always wearing appropriate PPE

Shift and Schedule

• Full-Time Position
• Monday–Friday.
• Start time 6:30am until work is done, around 4pm
• Flexibility in schedule to accommodate OT and/or weekends based on business needs.

What you'll bring:

• Access 1- and 2-story rooftops to stage materials at delivery locations. Occasionally 3 story buildings
• Must be comfortable working at heights; required safety equipment and fall protection are provided.
• Support warehouse operations during slow periods as needed.
• Access to a reliable mode of transportation to commute to branch location
• Spanish bilingual proficiency a plus
