Company Overview

Tiello is partnered with a leading commercial roofing contractor in the Stow, OH area specializing in commercial roofing systems, repairs, maintenance, and reroofing projects. With continued growth and a strong focus on developing talent, they are looking to add a Roofing Technical Representative to support their Sales team.

Position Summary

The Roofing Technical Representative is a field-based technical and estimating support role working closely with the Sales team. This position will visit commercial job sites to inspect and measure roofs, identify conditions and problem areas, gather field information, and help determine material and labor requirements for reroofing projects.

This is an entry-level/early-career opportunity, and the company is willing to train the right candidate. It can be an excellent opportunity for someone with roofing or construction field experience who wants to transition into a long-term professional role.

Key Responsibilities

• Travel to commercial customer and job sites
• Inspect commercial roofs and identify conditions and problem areas
• Perform roof measurements and takeoffs
• Gather accurate field information for the Sales team
• Assist with material and labor estimates for reroofing projects
• Communicate professionally with customers while onsite
• Support the Sales team with accurate proposals and project information
• Assist with new-account marketing and business development efforts
• Maintain accurate records and information using computer and estimating tools

Qualifications

• Previous experience in commercial roofing, construction, estimating, or construction sales
• Roofing Technician, Foreman, Inspector, Junior Estimator, Project Coordinator, Assistant PM, or similar experience is a plus
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Comfortable traveling locally to customer sites
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
• Physically able and willing to climb ladders and access commercial roofs
• Commercial roofing system knowledge is preferred but not required — training will be provided
• Construction Management or related degree is a plus, but not required
