Job summary

Tiello has partnered with a leading commercial roofing and waterproofing manufacturer to hire a Commercial Roofing Field Technician to support contractors and projects across an assigned territory.

This field-based role focuses on inspections, installation quality, contractor support, troubleshooting, and warranty compliance, with openness to experienced Foremen, Superintendents, Service Technicians and Inspectors transitioning to the manufacturer side.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of commercial roofing field experience.
• Deep knowledge of low-slope roofing systems.
• Experience with TPO, PVC, or other single-ply materials.
• Proven ability to inspect installations and identify deficiencies.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• Ability to travel regionally and work independently.
• Valid driver’s license and authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections on active commercial roofing projects.
• Verify that roofing work meets manufacturer specifications and warranty requirements.
• Inspect seams, flashing, penetrations, insulation, fasteners, adhesives, drains, curbs, and terminations.
• Identify installation deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide technical support and installation guidance to contractors.
• Troubleshoot field installation and performance issues.
• Prepare inspection reports with photographs and field documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors, foremen, superintendents, and project stakeholders.
• Travel throughout the assigned territory to support active projects.

Tiello has partnered with a leading commercial roofing and waterproofing manufacturer seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Field Technician to support contractors and commercial roofing projects throughout an assigned territory.

This is a field-based technical role focused on roof inspections, installation quality, contractor support, troubleshooting, and warranty compliance.

We are open to experienced manufacturer Field Technicians as well as strong Commercial Roofing Foremen, Superintendents, Service Technicians, and Inspectors who are interested in transitioning to the manufacturer side of the industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections on active commercial roofing projects.
• Verify roofing systems meet manufacturer specifications and warranty requirements.
• Inspect seams, flashing, penetrations, insulation, fasteners, adhesives, drains, curbs, and terminations.
• Identify installation deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide technical support and installation guidance to commercial roofing contractors.
• Troubleshoot roofing installation and performance issues in the field.
• Conduct final inspections and support warranty approval requirements.
• Provide technical training and installation education to contractors and roofing crews.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, photographs, and field documentation.
• Work directly with contractors, Foremen, Superintendents, and project stakeholders.
• Travel throughout the assigned territory to support active projects.

Qualifications

• 3 years of commercial roofing experience
• Strong hands-on knowledge of low-slope commercial roofing systems
• Experience with TPO, PVC, and/or other single-ply systems
• Previous experience as a Field Technician, Technical Representative, Foreman, Superintendent, Service Technician, Inspector, or similar
• Strong understanding of commercial roofing installation details and best practices
• Ability to identify deficiencies and recommend corrective solutions
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a regional schedule
