Job summary

Allied Roofing & Construction in New Jersey is seeking a Production Manager to lead roofing and exterior projects from sale through completion. You will coordinate crews, manage budgets, and maintain client communications while building scalable systems for growth.

The role requires 5+ years in production/PM within exterior construction, strong organization, and the ability to drive projects autonomously. A valid driver’s license and a safety-minded approach are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in project/production management or construction operations.
• Experience with roofing, siding, exterior remodeling preferred.
• Autonomous from start to finish with strong client service.
• Proficient with computers, tablets, MS Office, and cloud PM tools.
• OSHA 10 or willingness to maintain safety training preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee roofing and exterior projects from site assessment to final walkthrough and payment.
• Coordinate crews, subcontractors, materials, schedules, and equipment.
• Perform site visits, inspections, and client walkthroughs; verify orders and deliveries.
• Review contracts, work orders, budgets, and project details before production.
• Ensure crews are on site aligned with standards and safety requirements.
• Serve as main client contact during production with updates and issue resolution.
• Create change orders and obtain client approval when needed.
• Track progress, costs, and documentation in the CRM.
• Monitor costs to protect profitability; collect progress and final payments.
• Identify production issues and help implement better systems and SOPs.
• Participate in production meetings and process improvements.

Roofing Production Manager

Location: Based in Lodi, NJ, with daily travel throughout Northern New Jersey to active project sites.

Allied Roofing & Construction is a 30+ year residential and commercial exterior construction company serving Northern New Jersey. Roofing is our bread and butter, with siding and windows as additional services. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a foundational production leader who can strengthen operations, own projects from start to finish, and help build the systems needed for long-term expansion.

We are hiring a Production Manager to oversee roofing and exterior projects from sale through completion. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, field-capable, client-focused, and able to manage crews, schedules, materials, budgets, and communication without constant micromanagement. The right person can operate as a strong field project manager today and grow into a larger production or operations leadership role as the company continues to scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage roofing, siding, and exterior projects from site assessment through final walkthrough and payment collection
• Coordinate crews, subcontractors, materials, labor schedules, equipment, permits, dumpsters, portable toilets, and job timelines
• Perform site visits, inspections, pre-final walkthroughs, and final walkthroughs with clientsVerify material orders, confirm deliveries, manage returns, and help reduce waste or unnecessary material runs
• Review contracts, work orders, change orders, budgets, photos, measurements, and project details before production begins
• Ensure crews are on site as scheduled and following company standards, manufacturer specifications, and OSHA safety requirements
• Serve as the client's main point of contact during production, providing clear updates and resolving concerns quickly
• Create change orders for additional materials, upgrades, repairs, or services and obtain client approval when needed
• Track project progress, job stages, notes, costs, and documentation in the CRM
• Monitor labor, material, and subcontractor costs to help protect project profitability
• Collect progress payments, final payments, financing completion documents, Certificates of Completion, and warranty information
• Identify production issues, communication gaps, or process failures and help create better systems and SOPs
• Participate in production meetings, training, and process improvement efforts

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management, production management, or construction operations experience preferred
• Roofing, siding, exterior remodeling, or home improvement experience strongly preferred
• Field project management experience preferred
• Ability to manage projects autonomously from start to finish
• Strong organization, communication, and client service skills
• Comfortable managing crews, schedules, materials, budgets, and project documentation
• Process-driven mindset with the ability to improve systems and enforce SOPs
• Strong problem-solving skills and a high level of accountability
• Proficiency with computers, tablets, Microsoft Office, and cloud-based project management tools
• OSHA 10 or willingness to maintain required safety training preferred
• Manufacturer training or roofing system certifications are a plus
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required

Pay and Benefits

• W-2 Employment
• Full-time, 40+ hours per week.
• Salary: $75,000 to $100,000 per year, based on experience, including available bonuses
