Job summary

A. W. Farrell & Son, Inc. in Dunkirk, NY is seeking a Roofing Service Manager to lead our service department, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and adherence to safety and quality standards.

The role requires five years of roofing production and supervision, OSHA 30, a valid driver’s license, and proficiency with the FCS service software. You will recruit, train, and coordinate crews, manage budgets, and drive customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years’ roofing production and supervision experience preferred.
• Safety training: OSHA 30-hour card.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to use/learn business technology include the service software FCS.
• Interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations; poised and diplomatic.

Responsibilities

• Recruit a dependable and knowledgeable maintenance workforce with HR/Payroll support.
• Coordinate coaching and disciplinary action for Service Department staff as needed.
• Determine training needs for repair technicians; organize training in safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Participate in monthly calls with HR and Payroll to discuss staffing and performance.
• Teach roofing best practices: customer service relations, roof inspection techniques.
• Coordinate termination of employment with HR/Payroll as needed.
• Enforce and follow company policies and safety procedures.
• Oversee service call management: project creation, dispatch, scheduling, invoicing, and customer follow-up.
• Review timecards and materials invoices; ensure OSHA safety.
