Job summary

Vassar & Company Properties LLC. in the Tampa Bay area is seeking experienced Roofing Contractors for on-site, project-based work across residential and small commercial properties.

This 1099 contractor role offers flexible scheduling; you will perform inspections, repairs, and full roof replacements, manage materials and crew if applicable, and ensure compliance with local codes and safety standards. You must bring your own tools and transportation, have a Florida Roofing Contractor license,

Qualifications

• Valid Florida Roofing Contractor license.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Proven experience in residential and/or light commercial roofing.
• Ability to handle roof repairs, replacements, and new installations.
• Knowledge of various roofing systems (shingle, tile, metal, flat).
• Own tools, equipment, and crew (if applicable).
• Understanding of local building codes, permitting, and safety standards.

About the Role

We are seeking experienced Roofing Contractors to support our residential and commercial property portfolio.

This is a 1099 contractor role offering flexible, project-based scheduling. Projects are assigned based on property needs, inspections, and renovation scope, allowing you to take on work that aligns with your availability and capacity.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform roof inspections, repairs, and full replacements
• Install roofing systems (shingle, tile, metal, or flat roofing)
• Identify leaks, storm damage, and structural issues
• Ensure all work meets local codes, permitting requirements, and safety standards
• Manage materials, labor, and project timelines
• Communicate job status, findings, and completion updates

Requirements

Valid Roofing Contractor license (State of Florida)

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Proven experience in residential and/or light commercial roofing
