Job summary

Craften Roofing & Exteriors is seeking a reliable Roof Inspector / Field Technician to inspect residential roofs, document conditions, and be the first point of contact for homeowners. The role blends outdoor work with technology, including drone usage and mobile inspections.

You will communicate findings clearly, perform minor repairs within training scope, and uphold safety standards while delivering honest recommendations without high-pressure sales tactics.

Qualifications

• Comfortable climbing ladders and working at heights.
• Comfortable walking on residential roofs when conditions permit.
• Basic computer and smartphone skills.
• Ability to learn and consistently use apps.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift approximately 35 pounds and perform physical work as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Inspect residential roofs for damage and maintenance needs.
• Document findings with photos/videos and prepare reports.
• Provide customer explanations in plain language and honest recommendations.
• Perform basic on-site repairs within training scope.
• Operate drones for roof inspections where appropriate.
• Use mobile apps and forms to upload documentation.
• Maintain safety and professional standards.
