Job summary

Topwater Roofing is seeking a Field Inspector to join our North Carolina operations team. You will inspect roofs, document findings, and generate RoofReports, using drone observations when needed.

This is a field-based role with a 50/50 mix of inspections and digital reporting. You’ll work independently, maintain safety standards, and communicate clearly with homeowners and insurers. A 60-day onboarding ensures you reach independent inspection duties.

Qualifications

• Requires climbing experience and familiarity with heights, ropes, harnesses and roof safety.
• Ability to climb safely, carry equipment up to 50–60 lbs, and work on steep pitches in varied weather.
• Strong communication to document findings clearly for insurers and internal teams.
• Extreme attention to detail for photo standards, reports and follow-up.
• Willingness to travel 60–100 miles from Mooresville, NC.

Responsibilities

• Safety first: follow climbing safety protocols, log daily field activities, and adhere to FAA Part 107 drone safety standards.
• Qualify: assess roof condition, distinguish storm damage from wear, determine need for secondary inspection, and clarify warranty scope.
• Diagnose: perform roof inspections, identify damage types, include drone observations.
• Document: annotate drone photos to professional standards, generate RoofReports, manage photo libraries, and respond to follow-ups promptly.
