Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Lexington, NC is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector for rolling stock. You will inspect welded components and assemblies in the Carshell area, using visual, dimensional, and mechanical checks and NDT methods to verify weld quality.

Daily duties include data retrieval from inspection databases and entry into electronic systems, with occasional supplier interactions. Requires AWS Visual Weld Inspector or VT II and NDT certifications, and the ability to work in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• AWS Certified Visual Weld Inspector Associate or VT Level II certification is required.
• Certification in one or more NDT techniques is required.
• Ability to retrieve information from computer systems/databases and input data into electronic inspection systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual, dimensional, and mechanical inspections on welded components and assemblies.
• Utilize NDT methods to verify welding meets specifications.
• Dispositons defects and documents inspection results in electronic systems.
