Job summary

Siemens Mobility seeks a Certified Welding Inspector – Rolling Stock at our Lexington, NC facility. This role involves inspecting welded components in the Carshell area, applying AWS/VTI standards, and using NDT methods to ensure weld quality.

Daily tasks include documenting findings and supporting continuous quality improvements. Candidates must hold AWS CWI Associate or VT Level II and be able to operate inspection systems and databases.

Qualifications

• AWS CWI Associate or VT Level II certification is required.
• Ability to perform visual, dimensional and mechanical inspections on welded components.
• Experience with non-destructive testing techniques as part of inspection workflow.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual, dimensional and mechanical inspections on Carshell welding areas.
• Utilize NDT methods to verify welds meet specifications.
• Provide routine dispositions for common defects and document results.
