Job summary

Siemens Mobility, Rolling Stock Division in Lexington, NC, is seeking an Inspector to perform a range of welding inspections on passenger coaches. You will conduct visual CWI, dimensional and mechanical checks on welded components, using NDT techniques to verify welds meet specifications.

Candidates must hold an AWS Visual Weld Inspector Associate or VT Level II certification and have data-entry capability to capture inspection results in electronic systems.

Qualifications

• AWS Visual Weld Inspector certification (or VT II) required.
• Certification in one or more NDT techniques preferred.
• Ability to retrieve information from computer systems/databases and input data into electronic inspection systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual CWI, dimensional, and mechanical inspections on welded/machined components.
• Utilize NDT techniques to verify welds meet specifications.
• Provide routine disposition for common defects and document results.
