Job summary

Hitachi Rail USA seeks a Project Manager - Rolling Stock to drive North American vehicle projects from the Hagerstown, MD area. Occasional remote work with travel to Italy plants and US sites is expected.

Responsibilities include delivering on-time, on-budget results, managing risks, and maintaining client relations. Desired PMP certification and 5+ years in PM with matrix collaboration and intercultural experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• PMP certification or ability to obtain within twelve months.
• 5+ years of project management experience.
• Willingness to travel 30%.

Responsibilities

• Ensure on-time, on-budget, and on-quality delivery of the project.
• Monitor and manage Costs, Revenues, Margin and Cash-in; oversee invoicing per budget/forecast.
• Maintain positive client relationships with direct client interface.
• Promote business opportunities and manage Change/Variation Orders.
• Prepare contract claims and resolve disputes per contract provisions.
• Complete assigned project activities such as payment certificates and variation orders.
• Manage risk by coordinating with stakeholders and authorizing contingencies.
• Oversee project schedule with internal and external stakeholders; track KPIs.
• Prepare monthly progress reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Ensure project documents are maintained and reporting is accurate.
• Support EH&S policy deployment and Zero Harm culture.
• Oversee subcontractor management, including USA-based vendors.
